Beef Cattle
For years our beef cows have been primarily Salers which is a French dual-purpose breed. My husband started using a Salers bull in the mid 1990's. He always bern impressed with their calving-ease. They are hardy, heat tolerant cattle that thrive on grass.
Since downsizing our farm and our herd we decided to add some Indu cattle for fun. We purchased an amazing Sardo Negro Bull. The breed is from South America. Just like our Salers cattle, the Indu breeds are also known for their heat tolerance as well as disease and parasite resistance. We know these cross bred calves will thrive in our south eastern climate. We’ve also added a couple of very nice Gyr Heifers we have high hopes for.
Our herd is holistically raised, never vaccinated. Our calves are fence line weened to reduce stress.
We offer whole, half and quarters of beef. We also privately sell our calves.
